Abstract

The professional discussion ofthe last years is more and more enriched by the term „resilience“. The young resilience science points out, that it is possible to develop even under very bad circumstances and severe risks, self-conscious, self secure and competent personality. The scientific findings encourage and open up a change of perspective and paradigma: from a traditional deficit understanding to a competence and which resources orientated perspective. At the same time many questions are brought up: which kind of competence and resources are hidden behind this enormous energy? How this can be used for prevention? How can children be encouraged in their potentials to develop even under bad circumstances enough robustness? One result is already today proofed: resilience is not a matter of heritage but learned.
