The Experiences Gained by Propadeutikum Candidates During their Traineeships
Abstract
This study centers on the situation facing 130 ÖAGG Propadeutikum candidates who receive practical training in social and health care facilities. The survey systematically reports on the experiences gained by candidates during training, it illustrates their expectations and concerns, it describes the criteria applied when choosing a traineeship, and it assesses the type of work carried out during a traineeship as well as its schedule and general set-up. Furthermore, the study addresses the question of how much stress traineeships involve, and how they impact the way training is planned. Based on the results achieved, specific measures aimed at optimizing training conditions for future psychotherapists can be proposed. Keywords:
