Abstract

In this article the question being dealt with is “what can up to date psychotherapy for children and adolescents contribute to support the efforts of education at school to enable both children and teachers to achieve their goals successfully”? Basic needs and developmental tasks of children and adolescents will be shown to determine the professional support required of education and psychotherapy. It will be shown, that the different roles of education and therapy, can be an opportunity for each discipline to com-plement each other. We identify, for the ideal situation, the support a child would hope for and what the Psychotherapist and teacher wish for from each other.

Keywords Basic needs; integrative psychotherapy; network; resilience; safe place.
