The economic spell on therapy – a door to abuse?
Abstract
(Psycho-)therapy is discussed under the perspective of market relations. This changes the patient into a client. Therapy becomes part of the daily life. This encreases the expectations on therapy. Therapy itself becomes a specific brand in the market competition. The client achieves more responsibility concerning his therapy choice, whereas he still is in need of help.
