Abstract
On the basis of developmental considerations and some case studies, initial steps are taken to conceptualize bodies as interactive in analytic body psychotherapy. Originating in an “open setting" which encourages to act on different levels, in analytic body psychotherapy not only unconscious action dialogues (“enactments") but also consciously guided interactive sequences are of specific therapeutic interest. Focussing on interactive aspects in the therapeutic encounter, on body-related “micropractices" in particular, allows specific approaches and techniques. Keywords Enactment; Action dialogue; Interactional body; Core self; Body micropractices
