Scientific theory of psychotherapy
Abstract
As increasingly in scientific theory the postulation of theory is conceived of as a structure which as a comprehensive whole of methodology and objectivity cannot correspond to any absolute criteria of reali-ty, so also in the field of psychotherapy the need has come about for a new self-awareness. We would first of all recommend that the triad of patient, therapist and theory be observed as a change of context, so that the implicit suppositions and methodological limitations of therapeutic theory and practice can be thoughtfully reconsidered.
