Abstract

The Junktim of Healing and Research postulated by Freud permits a kind of research adequate for clinical practice. The results of our study show that this kind of research has not only been done but also published for many years in Austria. Our paper gives an explanation as to why the results of quantitative psychotherapy research are not recognized by the practitioners of psychotherapy and clarifies those areas of research that are relevant for them.
