Implementation of research programs in consultation -liaison work
Abstract
The present paper summarizes the state of the art concerning research in consultation liaison services at the general hospital. Up to now research oriented evaluation of the effects of consultation liaison work is rarely assessed in German-speaking countries. Cat-amnestic surveys or control group designs are nearly missing. The complexity of research influencing factors of the setting are presented in a model. This model is used to derive strategies and goals for the implementation of consultation-liaison research at the general hospital. Special emphasis is attached to the link between service related assignments and research interests.
