Memory Books – shared history, good attachment and life with future – an essay
Abstract
MemoryBooks are notebooks, which are written by HIV infected mothers together with their children. They are part of the African narrative culture. They are part of the process of attachment between HIV infected mothers and their children as well as base and source of resilience. The memorybook movement shows intensely how main working elements of psychotherapy have important effects in a non-psychotherapy field. The movement on the other hand encourages psychotherapy to trust more often in a process of resilience. Keywords MemoryBook; Africa; attachment; depression; future; resilienz
