Comments about the treatment of severely traumatized patients - the psychoanalytic perspective
Abstract
The aim of this paper is to describe theoretically and practically the close connection of trauma and conflict, their repetition in the superego and in the destructivity directed against the self and others, and to present a few important aspects of treatment technique with such severely traumatized patients. The focus is mainly on the consequences of chronic traumatization in childhood, as manifested in the severe neuroses.
