Relationship patterns and hierarchies of values
Abstract
Relationship as a framework for every psychotherapy is unquestionably seen as method, change agent and medium. Whe-reas originally the structure of the psyche was conceptualized “in-trapsychic”, nowadays more and more “relation-centered” con-cepts are developed. Relationship patterns are the central issue of psychotherapy. The author shows the difference between the intra-psychic and the interpersonal point of view by discussing the con-cepts of order of Hellinger and Scheler. He argues in favour of int-rapsychic hierarchies of values (preferencies) instead ofbeing fo-cused on relationship patterns. Keywords Relationship patterns; change agent; concepts of order; structure of the psyche
