Psychoanalytic psychotherapy in the treatment of traumatic processes in children and adolescents
Abstract
By presenting two clinical examples I show how psychoanalytic psychotherapy with traumatized children and adolescents works. Psychoanalysis offers a complete set of knowledge and techniques being able to understand and explain the psychodynamic background of clinical phenomena. And this also regarding the psychotherapeutic work with traumatized persons. Treating these patients requires a careful consideration of transference and countertransference processes.Key words:
