Case report and experience of abuse: psychoanalytic remarks
Abstract
For scientific publications of personal material from psychotherapies, historical differences can be documented which reflect a growing sensibility for the experience of patients feeling used or abused through these publications.I explore the social backgrounds of those changes and relate them to psychoanalytic considerations about the ways exhibitionistic needs were dealt with in different historical eras.
