Health sells or: the ruling state of affairs
Abstract
The development of the health market follows ordinary market rules. The psychotherapy market cannot become disconnected from this. In the future there will be a “discount" market“ and a “luxury" market. Psychotherapy therefore really has to change its view. The patient will change into a consumer-patient and the therapist will change into a service-therapist. In the future, solving problems by curing an illness will no longer be the focus but the main focus will be the development of personal resources in the sense of service-oriented salutogenesis. Keywords Health market; Service; Customer; Consumer-patient; Market development
