capital spending or gambling? Psychoanalytic associations to the financial crisis
Abstract
One main explanation concept of the actual crisis is based on the consideration ofthe ambivalent fantasies regarding the interplay of financial markets, motives and actual behaviour of the investors and the thrill. The author discusses this under the special perspective ofthe game theory. He distinguishes this from other modalities of Dionysian limit experiences. The narcissism theory helps to explain the important psychological matrix and the consequences of the financial crisis.
