Research into Psychotherapist Competence - Report on a Continuing Education Conference presented by the Swiss Charta for Psychotherapy on 22.06.2013
Abstract
The central theme at this event was the question as to whether and how psychotherapeutic competence and its progress can be investigated and measured in graduates of further education in psychotherapy in psychotherapy. The University of Kassel conducted a research project into competence development of psychotherapists in training, sponsored by the German Research Community (DFG). The project leadership and coordination are in the hands of professors Heidi Möller and Svenja Taubner. One of the participating researchers from the University of Kassel; Thomas Munder, provided delegates with an overview of the research design and also presented the initial findings and their implications for practice.
