Abstract

In this article, the question of how the concept of the soul can be grasped in postmodernity is explored. In doing so, proposed definitions of analytical psychology will be presented and placed in the contemporary historical context of postmodernism. Since the concept of soul is no longer en vogue in today’s world, a disenchantment of the world is increasingly taking place, which is paid with a great inner-psychic price, which can also be seen in the social reaction to the Corona pandemic, the climate crisis and wars. Proposed solutions are shown as to how, with the help of the use of concepts of analytical psychology, these crises can be faced, and at the same time the soul can be given a place again in postmodern society.
