This journal is not accepting submissions at this time.

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The contribution is previously unpublished and has not been submitted to any other journal (if not, include a ‘Note to the editor’).
  • The file is available in Microsoft Word, RTF or WordPerfect format.

    Please note:
    An author’s individual format can be used with the prior agreement and approval of our technical department. 
    An extension of the available standard formats is planned for the future.

  • URLs are included in the bibliography wherever possible.
  • The text is available with 1.5 line spacing, font size 10, italics where appropriate, not underlined (except URL addresses); illustrations, graphs and tables are included in the text body in the appropriate place and not at the end of the text.
  • The text complies with the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the authors’ guidelines under ‘About us’.

Author Guidelines

General
The journal Psychotherapie-Wissenschaft publishes twice yearly in German, English and French:

  • original papers
  • synopses
  • project reports
  • case studies
  • conference reports
  • reviews
  • short scientific reports. 
  • (These only require a brief note to the editor).

The decision to accept a submitted contribution is made by the editorial staff, original papers and reviews are first examined by a panel of experts, who remain anonymous.

Requirements concerning manuscript submissions

The submitted manuscript shall be accompanied by a statement confirming that the work being submitted has not been published or submitted for publication elsewhere.

This order is to be observed


Submissions should have the following layout

Manuscripts are to be written in MS-WORD or OPEN OFFICE-WRITER – readable documents with 1.5 line spacing, wide margin (30 lines at 60 characters per page).

The overall text length (including long German summary, excluding German and English summary and bibliography) shall not exceed 28,000 characters including spaces.

Pages are to be numbered consecutively, but the author's name shall not appear in the header (confidentiality during the expertise).

It is expedient to structure the text using short subheadings (max. 60 chars.)
